This publication by the Greek Foundation is dedicated to the work of Philippos Theodorides, offering an intimate look at an artist whose practice moves fluidly between illustration and painting, memory and observation. The book unfolds as a portrait of the artist and his world. It opens with an introduction by Alkistis Tsampouraki and continues with “Of Land and Light”, a thoughtful conversation between Makis Malafekas and Philippos Theodorides that offers insight into his process, influences and the sensibility behind his images. A generous selection of works follows, tracing key moments from exhibitions between 2016 and 2025 and revealing the recurring themes that run through his practice: everyday scenes, fragments of landscape, fleeting light and the emotional weight of simple forms.Carefully designed and quietly confident in tone, the publication reads as both a document and a companion piece to the work itself — a book to return to, page by page, image by image.
